What is a sting-operation? I have to admit, at first I didn’t know what that term means and I stop to read what that means to properly continue, this genre is not my cup of tea but I still enjoy it.A not so typical coming of age story, where corruption can do and undo everything it reach, a young man will try his best to not fall down. At first is something fun, somehow slow and enjoyable, it was a sign for us to value those little moments, because once you grow up, you are going to look back and trying to live those moments again. Just like this story takes a darker turn and everything becomes your enemy, what could a poor boy do against the authority?
This is an exceptional book and it’s pretty easy to follow, there is not convoluted story about good vs evil, this is about the future, and I certainly enjoyed it, give it a try, is something that should not be forgotten, especially in these times.

read, worth the time and efforts of the author. I totally believe that many law enforcement officers are not trustworthy. Unfortunately, some fall into the easy way, for them, to harass and make the lives of those who pay their salaries...difficult. How unfortunate that the judge in this incident wasn't reprimanded in some way.
This book takes readers through a gamut of emotions as the recollection of an amazingly unfortunate series of events unfold. The author placed this book in the category of murder/mayhem but it really could have been in several categories given the broad spectrum of the events that take place in this story. Although this story takes place many years ago there are still those unfortunate persons who are victims of being in "the wrong place at the wrong time" when it comes to our legal system. This book is proof that those innocent persons should never give up.
Being a true story made it more interesting and hard to put down. Wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next! The story takes you through the hard youth of boys who were faced with not the best circumstances. And then dealing with the feelings and outcomes from those circumstances. "Good old boy" networks really existed and the results from it were not pretty. I highly recommend this book if you like true stories!! You will enjoy it!
Part True Crime, part memoir, of what happened when 3 young teens become involved in something that is bigger than it appeared at first. They were all lower income boys , just looking for a way to make some money, and innocently got involved with a shady situation, which ends up affecting the rest of their lives.
A great book for teenagers to learn a lesson from a true story of being careful, cautious and see upcoming problems and most important don’t just trust anyone. The story of teenage boys who are trapped inside a crime and worst they find that they are stuck with the corrupt police department. It’s their journey of emotions and unfolds of events just captivates the attention. This is a good example of a story line, good writing and how simple, easy read books can win the hearts of the readers.
The author has done a great job of presenting a story of youth and fun that turns into a nightmare from the worst part of your mind. A group of friends who thought they were working for the boss finds themselves in jail under arrest for stealing. The teens are from the low income side of town and caught up in police corruption and the good old boy mentality. This is an interesting story and I was hooked from the start. The experience that these teens went through is horrible but easily believable in the society as it has matured and become a greedy world. No young teens should have to experience this. Check this one out as it does a great job to explaining what happened to them and why.
I started this book thinking it was going to be a coming of age tale, which in a way it is, only in a much darker sense than your run-of-the-mill coming of age story. Reading that this is a true story wasn’t all that shocking but it is quite depressing to know that this sort of stuff really does happen. The author did a great job of laying the story out so that it was a quick and interesting read. Most readers should be able to knock this book out in a couple of hours, as it is pretty simple follow. I’d definitely recommend this book to teenagers. It’s important to know the people you are taught to trust aren’t always the heroes they’re made out to me. This book is a lesson to look out for yourself and steer clear of any dealings that could possibly go wrong. I am looking forward to more from this author in the future.
